Expert-Validated: Lind's AI Matches Clinical Coordinators 94% of the Time (JCO Oncology Practice)
A new peer-reviewed study in JCO Oncology Practice validated Lind's AI trial-matching system (TRIAGE) against expert clinical research coordinators using real-world EHR data. Across 1,770 adjudicated criteria, TRIAGE reached 94.2% agreement, and at its high-sensitivity threshold identified eligible patients with 98.7% sensitivity and 97.6% specificity surfacing missed enrollment opportunities in minutes. Conducted at Atrium Health's NCI-designated cancer center across 168 oncology trials and 806 patients, the study found TRIAGE accurately determines trial eligibility from complex, longitudinal records, supporting clinician review rather than replacing it. Prospective implementation studies are underway.
